Silent Auction Donations

We thank you for donating items for our auction. They are critical to the success of our fundraiser. Please provide as much information as you can so that we can display the complete and correct information to tempt our bidders.

Need help with your display?

A poster that markets your donation will help catch the eyes of the bidders, particularly if it leverages our Fiesta theme.  Include inexpensive giveaways that will add some “kick” to your donation. Think vertical for your display. Our table space is limited, so taller displays rather than wider are appreciated. Limit your display width to 18”, and keep in mind the bid sheet (we provide) must go on the table in front of your display.

Hosting a party for your donation? You could display a table setting (please, no wobbly breakables, burning candles, dinner plates, or valuables), theme paraphernalia, a possible menu, photos from previous events, or other description using large letters and few words – and the date, if you know it.  Please avoid scheduling events during Lent, when many people refrain from big galas and other celebrations. Lent begins March 6 and ends on April 21, 2019.

Acrylic stands are available for standard letter size paper in a portrait orientation. Vacation home offers should include photos and other home description on a poster, with details on the donation: time, number of guests, restrictions, etc.

If you are donating food, include samples as you wish, as well as any items that are included with the donation, such as cookbooks, etc.

We encourage you to exploit our Fiesta theme in your display. The auction staff will make your donation look as attractive as possible, and may add theme-related flourishes or other touches to enhance its presentation. We can help if you let us know!

Important Dates to Remember:

• March 18 – April 22:  Please sign up your donations on Sunday mornings during coffee hour or on the auction website at  www.sainttimothysdanville.org (preferred).  

• April 15 - 22: Bring your donations to the library in Grace House, during regular business hours, as well as Sunday mornings. If you need to bring in your donation as late as April 29, please let the Auction Committee know. They appreciate your help in keeping their sanity in these last two weeks before the event!  Additional donation sheets / auction receipts are available in the library.

• May 5-6 Please take home the display components of your donation Saturday night/Sunday morning.
