Silent Auction Donations

 

We thank you for donating items for our auction. They are critical to the success of our fundraiser. Please provide as much information as you can so that we can display the complete and correct information to tempt our bidders. 

 
Need help with your display?

 

Attractive marketing: A poster that markets your donation will help catch the eyes of the bidders, particularly if it leverages our New Orleans Jazz theme. Include inexpensive giveaways that will add some “kick” to your donation. Think vertical for your display. Our table space is limited, so taller displays rather than wider are appreciated. Please limit your display width to 18”, and keep in mind the bid sheet (we provide) must go on the table in front of your display.

 

Displays for a party: Hosting a party for your donation? You could display a table setting (please, no wobbly breakables, burning candles, dinner plates, or valuables), theme paraphernalia, a possible menu, photos from previous events, or other description using large letters and few words – and the date, if you know it. Please work with the auction chair to make sure there are no overlaps with other events.

 

Vacation home offers should include photos and other home description on a poster, with details on the donation: time, number of guests, restrictions, etc.

 

Provide samples if you wish, when you are donating food, and you might also include any items with the donation, such as cookbooks, etc.

 

We will provide acrylic stands for standard letter size paper in a portrait orientation. We encourage you to exploit our New Orleans
Jazz theme in your display. The auction staff will make your donation look as attractive as possible, and may add theme-related flourishes or other touches to enhance its presentation. We may group items together as one auction item. We can help if you let us know!

 

Important Dates to Remember
The event is May 18th!


March 24 to May 5 Sign up your donations on the FOTH Rolling Bulletin Board Sunday mornings after services or use the auction donation website signup below (preferred option.)

 

May 5 Last day to signup/bring in your auction items so committee can begin working on display descriptions and the Preview Packet. Deliver auction donations to the Grace House library during business hours of 10 am to 2:30 on weekdays and until noon on Sundays. Please be sure a copy of the Yellow Donation Form is attached so that we know who donated the item. Extra forms will be available in the library.

 

For other arrangements, or if you cannot meet these deadlines, *contact us. Please, do not bring in donations after noon on Sunday, May 12th, without prior arrangements. Additional donor forms are available in the office, library, and at the FOTH Rolling Bulletin Board in the parish hall.

 

May 18 or 19 Please take home your display posters and components on Saturday night or Sunday morning after the event.
