Silent Auction Donations

We thank you for donating items for our auction. They are critical to the success of our fundraiser. Please provide as much information as you can so that we can display the complete and correct information to tempt our bidders.

Need help with your display?

Attractive Marketing and Displaying your DonationsA poster will help catch the eye of potential bidders, especially if it exploits our Italian theme. Include all information to describe the item.  Please use a LARGE font so people can read the description from 3 feet away.

Display Width:   Limit your poster and display items to 18” of width.  Taller displays, rather than wider ones are appreciated.  We will provide acrylic stands in a portrait orientation, 8½”x 11”, for the item description sheet which we will provide.  This will be placed on the table in front of the auction item along with the clipboard with the bidding sheet.  Note that we reserve the right to package donations with other items to maximize their appeal.  The auction staff will make your donation look attractive.  Let us know if you need ideas.  We can help you.

You might embellish your item with inexpensive giveaways that will add some appeal to your donation. For example, an event such as a hosted dinner could display a table setting if possible (no wobbly breakables, no glass dinner plates, no burning candles or valuables, please.) a menu, photos from previous events, or other descriptions using large letters and few words, any restrictions, number of people, etc. and a date, if you know it. Contact the auction committee*** so we can avoid overlapping event dates.

Vacation home donations should include photos and home descriptions, with details such as time availability, number of guests, any restrictions, details for contacting the winning bidder, etc.

If you are donating food, provide samples if you wish, and you might also include any items with the donation, such as cookbooks, utensils, kitchen towels, etc.
