DONATIONS FOR THE AUCTION, RAFFLE & MYSTERY BOXES!
Your gift card and silent auction donations
Donations are what make this night a success to raise the funds needed to help all these organizations that do the work of helping so many. If you need ideas, please talk to the folks at the table by the FOTH board or see ideas below. Your FOTH donations chairs (Kimberly Bryant and Alison Hill) have been thinking of creative new ideas for the silent auction. To that end, we are asking everyone to please start thinking about how YOU can contribute to the silent auction.
Important Forms for Donations
If you feel comfortable asking for gift cards or donations, please take an *Auction Solicitation Letter and an *Auction Donation/Receipt Form with you. These forms are located on the rolling red FOTH bulletin board outside after Sunday services or in the parish hall, and in the Grace House entry, or the church office. The Donation/Receipt form is fillable on our FOTH website for your own use. Please download a copy and hand it in to the Grace House office or to anyone at the red FOTH bulletin board on Sundays.
*Auction Solicitation Letters - Take some with you to your favorite restaurants or places of business that you use often. Most businesses will require one of these letters. It describes why and for whom we are raising funds for our non-profit ministry partners.
*Auction Donation / Receipt Form – white with red type: Please fill these out and return them to us at the FOTH table by the rolling bulletin board outside after Sunday services; or in the church office in the FOTH mailbox (office hours Tues. -Thurs. 10 to 3) as soon as possible. Cut it in half and keep the top for your tax records, but attach the bottom with your donation. Each donation item must be accompanied by a copy of this form so we know who sent it. The back has deadlines and directions.
Here are some suggestions for donations so you can get creative:

MYSTERY BOXES are in demand!
Each box is guaranteed to have at least $150 worth of items inside (most will have much more). We'd like to invite YOU to participate in the fun by curating your own MYSTERY BOX with interesting items. It can have a theme or it can be whatever you wish. Examples of great items to include are:
a gift certificate to your favorite restaurant, nail salon, spa - your favorite bottle of wine (or liquor, beer, tea) - your favorite candle - your favorite mug or water bottle - art supplies - tickets to your favorite sporting event (or concert/event) - free month at your yoga studio - complimentary car wash to your favorite spot - a voucher for your favorite cooking class - or cold hard cash (if that's your favorite!)
What are your favorite things or what would appeal to the purchaser who doesn’t know what’s in the box? It’s a Mystery! The possibilities are endless.
How it works: We provide the box. You fill it! Each box should have at least $150 worth of items / service (no maximum). Include a list of your items (and why you love them!) and value. If you don't want to do an entire box on your own, grab a friend (or two) and split it up! The more the merrier… Please bring your items to church between August 23 - 30.
Based on your feedback - This year the boxes will have silent auction bidding sheets for each box instead of a fixed price, so you can enjoy fighting for your favorite box with your favorite people!
